I know! I've played the original Romancing SaGa on the SFC (well, a ROM, anyway) and the PS2 version fixed up most of the issues that it had while bringing the gameplay in line with the rest of the series, and although it has to be one of the harder games difficulty-wise, I've said for a long time that the PS2 Romancing SaGa is how remakes SHOULD be made rather than "slap some updated graphics on it, fix some bugs people knowingly exploit for things like the Four Job Fiesta, it's done", Final Fantasy 5 on iOS. I'm still hoping for a new game someday or at least a polished remake of RS2/3.

Ah hell, now you've made me want to play the SaGa 3 remake. Those two remakes were awesome (though I wish they updated the Esper magic system in the SaGa 2 remake).
